Over The Counter Medicine – Making Money With Pain Relief Products

Over the counter medicine is a very lucrative business online. Many people are now buying pain relief products online. This can include traditional medicine and herbs which help to reduce pain.

Over the counter medicine is the first line of pain relief people will try!

Pain makes it difficult for people to enjoy family and social time. To make matters even more complicated, some doctors still don’t understand pain, although they know that what works for one person might not work for another.

For this reason, most people’s first attempt to manage pain is buying over-the-counter pain products.

These pain products will include pills as well as natural healing products.

Why This Niche Is In Demand

Pain is a regularly recurring problem. Most people will buy pain products more than once, primarily if it works.

Almost any type of pain is subjective. This makes it hard to treat. Individuals who suffer pain will not look for a cure, but rather a way to lessen or manage it.

When people are looking to buy products for pain, they will not only go for one type of product.

I know that when I’m looking for pain medication due to chemo treatments, I stack up on whatever I can to help manage the pain.

Most times, I stay away from narcotics. I want to live a full good quality of life without the effects of narcotics dulling it down.

Pain isn’t only limited to the American people; over 2 billion people worldwide suffer from daily pain. Most people, when they look for pain relievers, will go for over-the-counter pain relief products as they are the least costly.

Some people are into natural pain relief products. These people believe drugs are not for them.

Pain can be healed naturally by:

Over-the-counter (OTC) medicines are drugs you can buy without a prescription. Some OTC medicines relieve aches, pains, and itches. Some prevent or cure diseases, like tooth decay and athlete’s foot. Others help manage recurring problems, like migraines and allergies.

In the United States, the Food and Drug Administration decides whether a medicine is safe and effective enough to sell over-the-counter. This allows you to take a more active role in your health care.

  1. Hello Jag. This looks like a guide. As a matter of fact, it is a very good guide to start making money online with pain relief products. I have personally used over the counter drugs (it’s been very long anyways) as much as many other persons I know. I have seen people suffering from pains and many still suffering from it. They don’t mind spending their money to get the relief they want. I totally agree that this is an evergreen niche because pain will not end. Sad but it’s the truth. This industry is similar to food industry. Thanks for the guide and recommend.

    Regards!

  2. Hi!  You’re absolutely right that more and more people are looking into alternatives to prescriptions for pain relief.  I agree that the over-the-counter MEDICINE niche idea would be excellent. With the opioid hysteria going around, it would be VERY lucrative! (I am a chronic pain sufferer who used to be on pain meds, but with more and more opioid hysteria sweeping through our medical community, I got screwed in the end, like most chronic pain patients, even with having NO signs or symptoms of abuse or addiction. So I’ve researched alternatives.)

I have a love-hate relationship with alternatives to prescriptions. Other than actual over the counter medications, alternative medicine is more about the ‘it may help’ and not ‘it will help’.  I’m tired of experimenting with stuff. Even DOCTORS are getting into this BS.

What do people call home remedies that work?  Medicine.  There is no such thing as alternative medicine, really.  If something is tested and proven to work during clinical trials, it then becomes medicine.  If it does NOT work during clinical trials, then it’s NOT medicine.  Things like saline to help clear mucus or menthol flavor to help soothe coughs or melatonin or heating pads for sore backs or icing an injury and other such things works so well that they’re not even recognized as ‘alternative remedies’ anymore. They’re facts and included in medical treatments and over the counter medicine all the time now.  For example, willow bark was found to treat headaches and muscle pain way back in ancient times and in the 1800s, they isolated the active ingredient.  Thus, aspirin was born.  Plants DO help us and then turn into medicine and have done that for ages. Some doctor once said, “Herbs are drugs and can be studied as drugs.”  That doesn’t make herbal supplements safer than ‘drugs’, though.

But things like lemon juice to burn fat or St. John’s wort for depression or garlic for lowering cholesterol or echinacea for colds have all been studied and proven to be no more effective than a sugar pill.  Yet still, people buy them or make them or promote them.

Two, the ones that DO have some promise or proven to be effective are viewed by companies as unapproved or dangerous like CBD Oil and Kratom herbs.  It’s crazy!  People absolutely swear by both, but you can’t even advertise CBD and use Google Adsense because it’s an unapproved supplement.  You can’t use Facebook to advertise Kratom or CBD oil.  These both have some PROOF it works, but they view the possible risks and possible abuse as making them dangerous.  Why?  Because one person has died from Kratom (out of millions) and has some minor abuse potential like opioids do and because CBD comes from the marijuana plant and the legality is iffy.

So it’s weird.  I am not in these niches and they’re excellent ideas!  I am just tired of trying to search for help for my back pain and come across the same old crap that doesn’t work for actual, serious pain.  So I have some frustration with this whole pain relief niche.  I think there would be a HUGE market for someone who understands alternative medicine and medicine well enough to offer some real, actual factual articles and promoting real, effective treatments.

They’d make a killing!  I may do it myself!  Thanks for the ideas.

  3. Thank you for this interesting post on the booming and very lucrative online medication market. There is a growing demand by online consumers to manage their own pain relief and looking for trustworthy and reliable information and access to medications they can purchase online to treat their chronic pain and/or other health issues. It will also offer people more choices in how they access and purchase their medications and reduce the cost of those medications. But there is also the danger of people purchasing and self-prescribing their own medications that may pose a potential risk to consumers.

  6. Wow! Niche Keyword? Are you serious?
I have never found an article like this on any website. Because often the niche is something very crucial and more valuable than KFC recipes! I never thought anyone would be as good as you.
Do you have a “secret” to find a niche? Do you use the Jaaaxy tool you mentioned? Because if you find a niche, then making money online is not a difficult thing to do. I believe traffic will come wonderfully. More Traffic, More Revenue!
And another thing, where did you learn all this from?
This is a very cool and very valuable article!
    Thanks
