Today I am going to share with you the top 13 reasons why you should become an Internet Entrepreneur. I would say the reason to pay attention to what I’m bringing to you today is that these are things you may never think of while working for others.
Being an entrepreneur is indeed a fulfilling job, not only because you determine what you’re worth, but you also get a sense of feeling of achieving your personal goals. The fact we’ve all had jobs that we’ve hated which consumed all our time doesn’t exactly make it easy working for others, especially if it’s done day after day
Of course, there are some who enjoy working for others. They don’t want the headache of having to worry about creating their own income.
But then there are those who want to have the freedom to be able to think for themselves as well as have their dreams come to life.
If you are of the latter part of the group, then the 13 reasons why you should become an internet entrepreneur are precisely what you need to read right now.
Reasons Why You Should Become An Internet Entrepreneur
1. You, Will, Be the Boss
Most people dream of becoming their own boss. This way, they become the only person that they have to answer to, do you have the qualities of an entrepreneur to get started today.
There will be no more need to explain why you’re running behind or worry about how the accident in traffic may delay you for work.
The only person that an entrepreneur will need to answer to is themselves to explain why they fell behind or why they cannot get any work done.
Maybe you decide one day that you want to have an extra-long lunch hour or you want to give yourself coffee breaks every hour, it’s your choice.
Another reason is some people get stuck working on the weekends — something else you won’t have to worry about.
2. Make Your Own Working Schedule
My daughter plays rugby. As you know, a school sport is only played after school, with tournaments usually being on the weekend.
The first thing I do is make a schedule for the week.
But if at any time for some reason I need to reschedule, I can do so.
There is no reason for anyone who works out of their home to do a 9-to-5 job. My morning starts at 7 AM. Between this time until my bedtime, which is usually around 10 PM, I can schedule whatever shift I choose to do.
So could you, if you are your own boss.
3. Being in Charge Makes You Happy
I love being in charge — no one to dictate to you what you can and can’t do. Most times, I wake up in the morning, knowing what I’ve already planned to do.
By being in charge, you decide what office products you need as well when you set meetings with other entrepreneurs.
We all want to work for something close to our hearts that will make a difference. By taking charge, you start to allow yourself to define what has meaning in your life to work towards it.
4. No Need to Worry About What You Are Wearing to Work
Usually, when I get up in the morning, I go straight to my office in my pajamas. Of course, later on, I might change, but early in the morning, I do not need to.
You don’t have to worry about dressing up for anyone. The only person that you need to dress up is for yourself. If you feel comfortable working in your pajamas, then why not?
Most times, office or any other type of work requires someone to have some kind of dress code. When you’re working at home, you do not have to worry about this.
We entrepreneurs who work at home in the online world tend to think a little differently than those who head out to an office where they have to make an impression. When we’re working online, there’s no one watching us, so we don’t have to worry about what they will think of us.
5. You Creativity Will Not Be Stifled
I remember when I used to work for others, many times, I would have some thought that would make work more comfortable, but the creativity would be discarded by others being in charge.
And if I did have some creativity that the boss really liked, then they would take the credit for it.
When we’re working at home, our creativity has to take the spotlight because we depend on it as entrepreneurs.
At all times, we have to think outside the box; this is where you know you can be creative as you want because not only do you want it, but your business depends on it.
Plus, there’ll be no one there to tell you not to think that way.
6. Your Ideas Come to Being
So this relates to creativity up above. Not being able to allow us to be our creative selves puts a real damper on our ideas.
These ideas could be winning designs, but a person who is in the position of power will have an ultimate say.
When you’re an entrepreneur at home, you don’t have to worry about your ideas, not coming into being.
Because you can make it happen however you want, if the ideas are worth following up, then you can definitely see where they take you.
You never know you might have a winning idea, but it’s only going to take effect if it’s allowed to be followed up.
7. You Determine How Much You Get Paid
When working for others, our pay is determined by them deciding if we are worth it or not.
But when you work for yourself, you decide what you’re worth as well how much you’re going to get paid.
Knowing most of us go to school before we can get a good-paying job, it becomes an upsetting situation when we’re not paid what we think we are worth.
All of those student loans we take out can get hard to pay back. Not just that, the money we spend on gas to go back and forth to work adds more cost to our month.
8. Your Online Property Increases in Value
Just like our home value increases, so does the property value of our website or blog.
Not only does the property value increase, but your value in your own eyes increases as well.
Knowing that you’re valuing yourself to be an entrepreneur at home helps to establish your grounding.
9. Your Office is Wherever You Are
This is my favorite one. It doesn’t matter where you are; your office is there with you.
As long as you have your laptop, you could even make the local coffee house your office, which a lot of people do because it makes them feel like being a part of something.
Granted, some entrepreneurs don’t like to work alone, so the coffee house is an excellent choice for them.
Personally, I like working on my own where I don’t have to worry about others. You can even travel and blog.
When I was in the hospital getting a colon resection due to cancer, I worked out of my hospital bed for a time that was my office. Another time my children and I went on a vacation, so my hotel room became my office.
10. Your Discipline Becomes Amazing
By becoming an entrepreneur, of course, you’re going to come across some stress.
But because you have no worries about being at work at a particular time as well as being able to work in your pajamas, you are not bound to the rules of someone else.
Not having the stress of having to be somewhere at a particular time takes off the pressure, which allows your self-discipline to kick in. You know that you are in command of what happens during your workday.
Your productivity goes up because you know that you’re going income is going to be your bread and butter.
11. Take a Nap Whenever You Want
Like I said, my day begins at 7 AM and ends at 10 PM. In between that time, I need to pick up my kids at 2 PM from school.
I have many hours to work on my business as well I can take a nap any time I want.
As you know, there’s been studies done that when people have power naps, they work better.
Having practiced that study on myself, I agree that I come back after 20 minutes a more influential entrepreneur.
Not necessarily that I will take the 20 minutes to go for a nap, sometimes I will meditate.
I can do this as often as I’d like when I feel stumped at not being able to find an answer to a question I desperately need a solution for.
This is something you could do, as well. In an office setting, we are given two 15 minute coffee breaks with a 30-minute lunch.
Even during lunchtime, most of us can be found working trying to catch up on all that we need to stay up with. At home, it’s all on us. We determine how much we need to catch up with, what can wait till tomorrow.
12. Build Your Own Legacy
By working for yourself, you create the adventures that your business will go on. Those adventures become stories to tell your children or whoever wants to listen to you.
You now have the wisdom that others may be seeking.
13. Your Dreams Are Too Big
When we work for others, most times, our dreams cannot become realities.
Because we depend on others to pay our worth!
The pay we receive does not help our dreams to be achieved.
Some of you may have a dream to go on a vacation. By working for others, you may wait for your whole life to go on that one vacation you’ve always dreamed of.
Others have a dream of owning their own home, but once again, you’re at the mercy of someone else to help you fulfill that dream.
My ending thoughts on this are self-employment is an achievable journey only when the entrepreneur’s mind is turned on.
What you learn by being your own boss is that you can create your own space in a fast-paced, growing environment.
